It doesn’t look flimsy at all (it is not a $200 plastic machine after all). The build quality of Singer SEQS-6700 is pretty good, which is evident from the weight of the machine. It comes with 6 foot for a variety of purposes. The variety of foot included is pretty impressive. Realistic design preview (much like the print preview on computers).Horizontal or vertical flipping of designs.Embroidery design rotation in one degree increment.Combine multiple designs into a single design file. What you can do with these softwares and editing options Advanced Editing allows you to edit existing embroidery designs
SINGER FUTURA EMBROIDERY MACHINE TUTORIAL PC
HyperFont™ converts all TrueType fonts on your PC into embroidery. AutoPunch™ converts clip art, logos and self-created designs into embroidery. You will get AutoPunch™, HyperFont™ and Editing. There are a variety of editing softwares included. You can cut the remaining thread with just the push of a button, thanks to the automatic thread cutter. Automatic needle threader makes threading easy. The programmable needle up/down button makes pivoting easy. 7mm is the maximum stitch width available on this machine. Buttonholes include an endless buttonhole as well. There are 215 built-in sewing stitches which includes 6 one-step buttonholes.
You can do designs up to 18 ½ x 11 inches in size. What makes this machine different from other embroidery machines is the ability to do multihooping. There is another compartment for accessory storage as well. Machine accessories can be stored in the extension table compartment. The machine does have a retractable carry handle, but its heavy weight doesn’t allow you to pick it up that easily. The machine can read FHE, XXX, JEF, CHE, HUS, PES, DST, SHV, PEC, EXP, VIP, PCS, PSW & SEW file formats. The USB cord that comes with this machine is pretty long, which is a good thing (the machine won’t work with other USB cords). There are two built-in spool pins (horizontal and vertical thread delivery really comes handy). It has 6 LED lights which illuminates the work space quite well. I have always been complaining about the brightness of sewing lights of Singer machines, which is not the case with this quartet machine. The extra high presser foot lifter is always handy while sewing multiple layers of fabric.
The electronic twin needle function limits the stitch width when using a twin needle on decorative stitches to prevent needle breakage. The clear cover will give you an idea about how much bobbin thread is remaining. The bobbin is easy to load drop-in type and it has a clear cover to see through. The LED screen is pretty small for a machine of this size, to be honest. The speed control slider has a unique feature that starts sewing slowly and then it picks up the speed fairly quickly. Start/stop button is provided for sewing without the foot pedal. It has a throat of 8.25″ which is more than enough for accommodating large projects.
Now, Singer SEQS-6700 Futura machine is a huge unit (take my word for it). It is a huge investment, so all we want to know is whether it is good enough for that kind of money. SEQS-6700 is an advanced machine by all means. It is like two combo machines combined into a single unit. There are machines that can do two things (sewing and embroidery or sewing and quilting), but a machine that can all 4 things are rare. SEQS-6700 is a quartet machine, which means it can do 4 things, namely sewing, embroidery, quilting and serging.
